BBC Home Entertainment has officially announced that it will bring to Blu-ray Being Human: Season 4. Being Human is written by Toby Whithouse and the fourth series is produced by Philip Trethowan. Executive producers are Toby Whithouse, Rob Pursey, Touchpaper Television, and Eleanor Moran, for BBC Cymru Wales. Street date is January 15th.
The original UK Being Human is back for an all-new season. In an old hotel, in a sleepy seaside town, a vampire, a werewolf, and a ghost try their best to live normal human lives. Yet despite their efforts to be left in peace, there are members of their own kind determined to rid the world of humanity. With the vampires still wanting to strike and The Old Ones on their way, Annie and her two new housemates - Tom and Hal - find themselves in the middle of the struggle. But now, not only are there vampires to keep at bay, there's also a wicked ghost on the loose, and someone's trying to expose the existence of werewolves. Being human has never been tougher.
I lost interest in this season halfway through. The new characters weren't very likable and such a departure over the past 3 seasons. That may have been due to too much change, too fast. I may give this another spin since it's shown up on Netflix Instant.
I actually loved the new characters instantly, and loved the change it brought. It wasn't nearly as good as the 3rd series, but I did like this latest batch very much.
This used to be my favorite supernatural show, but after series 3... I completely lost interest. It's just not the same without the original cast. Sad, really. It was a very good show.
I saw this on the shelves at WalMart this morning.... not sure if it's an exclusive for them until the 15th or if someone put it out early by mistake. I really liked the first two series but lost interest after that.
