Amazon's Blu-ray Deal of the Week affects MGM Home Entertainment's Rocky: The Undisputed Collection. Through December 29th, Amazon is offering the package for $19.99 (a 71% discount from its MSRP of $69.99).
This box set bundles together the six films in Sylvester Stallone's Academy Award-winning sports franchise, films that include:
The Gold Box deal presents the Undisputed Collection at a 71% markdown from its SRP of $69.99; the seven-disc set offers each Rocky entry in 1080p alongside many special features, such as behind-the-scenes documentaries, interviews with cast and crew members, deleted scenes, and audio commentaries.
This deal expires at 12 AM PST/3 AM EST next Sunday, December 30th.
Amazon and Best Buy both had this for $20 around Black Friday for about 2 weeks. Well worth $20 IMO. Grab it now, never know when it will be this low again.
The thing that keeps me from pulling the trigger on this set everytime it is offered is the lack of extras. I need to have more of a reason to upgrade.
added Rocky collection for 19$ and the 3 packs of 2001: A Space Odyssey / Clockwork Orange / Shining... V for Vendetta / Watchmen / Constantine... and Martin Scorsese Triple Feature (Goodfellas / The Aviator / The Departed) for 10$ each...not a bad deal BDs for 3$ and change (thanx amazon!!)
Think I might get this. I lost all,the Rocky movies in the flood (well I managed to save the original). But with so much to replace full price is just way too expensive. But $20 may have to get this.
Is it weird that I can't pull the trigger on this? With the rate that Blu-Rays are dropping in price every year, I can't help but wonder when this might actually go lower. This is easily the 3rd or 4th time just this year I've seen this at $19.99.
Hmmmmm, for some reason I thought this was lacking any extras. Looking back over the review of this, I see that there is an extras bonus disk. Though it does lack the commentary for the first film, this is definitely more tempting. Though, don't have an extra 20.00 laying around right now.
