Sony Pictures Entertainment has released a new red-band trailer for co-producers Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell's Evil Dead remake, due in theaters on April 12, 2013. The official full length preview is dripping with blood, gore and startling visuals. Consider yourself warned.
In the highly anticipated remake of Raimi's 1981 cult-hit horror film of the same name, five twenty-something friends -- Mia (Jane Levy), David (Shiloh Fernandez), Olivia (Jessica Lucas), Eric (Lou Taylor Pucci) and Natalie (Elizabeth Blackmore) -- become holed up in a remote cabin. But when they discover the mysterious Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.
doesn't look good at all..too much over acting and not convincing enough...i will soooooooo avoid watching this one....original is still the only EVIL DEAD worth owning and watching...it's so sad to see that they keep re-making movies that don't need it just because they have run out of their own ideas:(
For contemporary splatter films this one looks good--but I say that only because I loved the original ones. And there was nothing wrong with The Thing remake/prequel !
The only remakes that I enjoyed were The Thing '85 and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Other than that they all have been horrible/lackluster. This actually looks entertaining and I'm a huge fan of the original. I've lost count of how many different copies I have. Even if it does suck I'm still going to see it first showing first day.
