British distributors Momentum Pictures will release on Blu-ray director David Frankel's romantic comedy Hope Springs (2012), starring Meryl Streep, Tommy Lee Jones and Steve Carell. The release will be available for purchase online and in shops across the United Kingdom on February 25th.
Kay (Streep) and Arnold (Jones) are a devoted couple, but decades of marriage have left Kay wanting to spice things up and reconnect with her husband. When she hears of a renowned couple's specialist, Dr Bernard Feld (Steve Carell), in the small town of Great Hope Springs, she attempts to persuade her sceptical husband, a steadfast man of routine, to get on a plane for a week of marriage therapy. Just convincing the stubborn Arnold to go on the retreat is hard enough – the real challenge for both of them comes as they shed their relationship hang-ups and try to re-ignite the spark that caused them to fall for each other in the first place. While Arnold wants to bury his head in the sand and is hesitant to admit they have an intimacy issue, Kay opens up about the holes that have developed over the year in the hope that they can rekindle the passion and love they shared when they got married 31 years ago.
