Disney Delays Four January 15th Catalog Titles

Posted January 10, 2013 11:10 PM by Webmaster

Walt Disney Home Entertainment has quietly but officially delayed the Blu-ray catalog releases of While You Were Sleeping, A Lot Like Love, I Love Trouble and Keeping the Faith, previously scheduled to arrive on January 15th. New release dates have yet to be set and the reason for the last-minute delay is unknown. We'll pass along any key developments or new information, though, as it comes to light.

At this time, Amazon is no longer accepting pre-orders for the four titles.

I'm still waiting for 'Disney to release Super Mario Bros.' Hey, if they can release Hocus Pocus, they they can release Mario.

I'm guessing it's like what happened to Arachnophobia; encoding issues.

How about Disney's releasing some GOOD live-action films: "Old Yeller," "Parent Trap" (Mills, NOT LL), "Swiss Family Robinson" and "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" leap to mind immediately!!!

Don't really care that it's been delayed, but Keeping the Faith is an underrated movie. Good stuff.

Gotta love all of the sarcastic comments made by a few folks who don't have an interest in these. Seriously, do you have nothing better to do? You do realize that it is entirely possible some people do care about this.

The Journey of Natty Gann - in 2.35:1 for a change - on Blu would be nice.

@ Ernest:

You beat me to it. The Journey of Natty Gann has since become one of Disney's long lost live action features, and remains one of its best. However, there is one other that no one at the Mouse House seems to care about, and is in dire need of an awesome Blu-ray restoration: DRAGONSLAYER!!

Any time now.

Amazed they even spent time converting these to Blu, I sure as hell hope they didn't waste time and money doing any restoration on em when there's a ton of classic Live Action Disney begging to come out of the vaults! "hmmm should we concentrate on "Keeping The Faith" or say "Mary Poppins" ???

VanScottie...Disney and Tom Hanks are releasing a live-action movie (Saving Mr. Banks) about the making of Mary Poppins next winter. I think it's obvious Disney's going to twin those properties up, so look for Poppins late next year or shortly after

Of the four, I only vaguely remember seeing "While You Were Sleeping". As I recall, it was a dog. I don't even remember seeing the announcement for the release of these films in the Blu-ray News. Granted there are those out there who relish these 'classics' and are extremely disappointed that they have been delayed. I would say bully for them as I know there are movies out there that I like that others may not such as "Thief", "Silver Streak", and "No Way Out'!

Hopefully it's because they've decided to prep "RocketMan" for release instead...

Geez, seriously... what makes you guys attack the comments section with such vitriol at the mere mention of a romantic comedy? We get it...you don't like chick flicks. You like boobs and guns and explosions, but you think maybe you can tone it down and stop being so predictably antagonistic? Some people on this site appreciate ALL kinds of film. Tuck your dicks in and chill out.

WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING is one of the most charming films I've ever seen-- my wife dragged me to it and I screamed "chick flick" and it is, but I thoroughly enjoyed it-- will add this to my collection when released
