Universal Studios Home Entertainment has set the Blu-ray release of Jurassic Park 3D for April 23rd, just three short weeks after the 3D conversion of the film makes its U.S. theatrical debut. Prior to that, Universal is also issuing individual BD/DVD/UltraViolet combo pack editions of Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park III on March 26th.
In theaters on April 5th and available via a Blu-ray/DVD/UltraViolet Combo Pack on April 23rd, Jurassic Park 3D finds the beloved epic remastered and presented in state-of-the-art 3D. The 3D reissue allows Spielberg to introduce the three-time Academy Award-winning blockbuster to a new generation of moviegoers while allowing longtime fans to experience the world he envisioned in a way that was unimaginable during the film's original release. Starring Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Samuel L. Jackson and Richard Attenborough, the film is based on the novel by Michael Crichton and is produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Gerald R. Molen.
There are no 3D extras or bonus content detailing the film's 3D conversion. Special features include:

cool that we are seeing single case jurassic film on bluray amen to that i did not like all of the film's the first film to me was there very best the second film not that bad still fun but the last film was just mehh.
This is actually a tad disappointing to hear since the rumor mill churned out that the restoration done on Jurassic Park for the 3D conversion was approved by Spielberg, meaning a more film-like presentation could be obtained for the single disc release, as opposed to the DNR laden previous release. Guess the approved transfer is a no go for the single 2D release. Darn....
Believe it or not and coming from a person that loves film grain, I prefer the 3D transfer. That's based on what I saw on Apple Trailers (link posted). I hope but at the same time am doubtful that the individual release includes the new transfer. Heck I even had my brother hook up his humongous PC to the HD TV just so we can stream and compare between the Apple Trailer and the Trilogy trailer from one of my Universal Blu-Ray movies.
I've looked on all the appropriate websites about this release specifically the 2d Jurassic park Blu Ray, Can anyone tell me whether its getting a new restoration because the original Jurassic Park Blu Ray video was rubbish!!
UNFORTUNATELY the 2D Blu-Ray does NOT include the new superior transfer found on the 3D Blu-Ray. Please express your disappoint here ( http://bit.ly/U3SNMk ) and let them know. It's the last thing we can all do to let them know there are those of us willing to double/triple dip on a movie we've already bought just for the new transfer.
I hope sometime in the near future they convert Jurassic Park 3 to 3D. I didn't care if they do a Jurassic Park part 2 in 3D as it wasn't as good as the others. I would also like to see a part 4 in 3D, maybe some day.
