Shout Factory has officially announced and detailed its upcoming Blu-ray release of director William Dear's Timerider: The Adventure of Lyle Swann (1982), starring Fred Ward, Belinda Bauer, and Peter Coyote. The release will be available for purchase online and in stores across the nation on March 19th.
Lyle Swann (Fred Ward) is a champion off-road racer who accidentally gets zapped into a time-travel experiment and sent 100 years into the past! When a gang of brutal bandits steals his motorcycle, Swann must outsmart the local cowboys and submit to the desires of a beautiful outlaw woman (Belinda Bauer). Armed with only his wits and a map from an Exxon station, will Lyle Swann survive the Wild West and get back to his future?

this film is not bad it's one of those "saturday afternoon or late night" Films you see on TV. stars the guy from "Tremors"
this one is kinda like the one about the navy ship that goes into a time hole only smaller. IMO
CandyStalker- I think you meant the OTHER Fred Ward movie as in Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins. If you want Southern Comfort so badly, you can get one of the cheaper region free solutions.
Liked this as a kid, but it's probably been 25+ years since I've seen it. I wonder if I'd still like it. Fred Ward is one of my favorite character actors. I liked him in "The Right Stuff," which is another movie that deserves a blu-ray, and "Remo Williams" was always a favorite of mine.
