Universal Pictures has issued an extended trailer for director Justin Lin's Fast & Furious 6, starring Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster. The next entry in the Fast & Furious franchise opens in U.S. theaters on May 24th.
Synopsis: Since Dom (Diesel) and Brian's (Walker) Rio heist toppled a kingpin's empire and left their crew with $100 million, our heroes have scattered across the globe. But their inability to return home and living forever on the lam have left their lives incomplete. Meanwhile, Hobbs (Johnson) has been tracking an organization of lethally skilled mercenary drivers across 12 countries, whose mastermind (Luke Evans) is aided by a ruthless second-in-command revealed to be the love Dom thought was dead, Letty (Rodriguez). The only way to stop the criminal outfit is to outmatch them at street level, so Hobbs asks Dom to assemble his elite team in London. Payment? Full pardons for all of them so they can return home and make their families whole again.
Woo-hoo I am stoked!!! I can't wait for this. Next to James Bond, Fast & Furious is my favorite film series. I'll be at the first showing on opening day!!!
@PeterTHX - You took what I said out of context, but thanks for being an ass about it.
I simply said I prefer practical effects over stuff like Fast & Furious. Although these movies are sometimes fun, I'm a sucker for a good car chase and I believe they're so much more visceral when it's all real. I love practical effects. I understand they need CG for the outrageous things as long as they hide it well.
It's Letty's evil cyborg twin. No but really, my guess is that she's playing Luke Evans character as a fool sort of like Eva Mendes in 2 Fast 2 Furious.
Shortly after the 5th movie came out and everyone was talking about it I remember them greenlighting fast & the furious 6 & 7 and filming them together as a 2 parter yet... haven't seen any news about that lately. Is this still happening if anybody knows?
