FUNimation Entertainment is releasing four anime title on Blu-ray in May: Sekirei: Complete Series, Darker than Black: Complete Season 2 and Tenchi Muyo: War on Geminar Part 1 and Part 2. Two are repackagings, two are making their Blu-ray debut. All four sets are BD/DVD combo pack releases.
Synopsis: From Aniplex, the studio that brought you Fullmetal Alchemist, comes a title with a roster of busty, young martial artists perfect for fans of Ikki Tousen. You've seen a million shows where heroes go toe-to-toe, now feast your eyes on the only anime where hot girls with super powers settle their differences chest-to-chest! Minato had no luck with the ladies until the day a well-rounded warrior babe named Musubi fell into his life and crushed his face with her ginormous cleavage. Hunted by a stunning pair of twin sisters, Musubi was searching for the right guy to give her a squeeze and unlock the hidden powers lurking beneath her ample assets. Minato fit the bill, and now he's caught in the middle of a supernatural slugfest where voluptuous vixens take turns beating each others' clothes off! Only one of these bodacious brawlers will come out on top, but the unbridled excitement of watching them go at it makes this utterly-fulfilling series the breast action-harem anime of all time.
The Sekirei: Complete Series set collects Seasons One and Two, and features all 26 Sekirei and Sekirei: Pure Engagement episodes. Individual releases of Sekirei and Pure Engagement were released in 2012 and are available for purchase.
Synopsis: A new and deadly breed of covert agent walks the streets. Known as Contractors, these assassins and spies wield bizarre supernatural powers to carry out the dirty work of others. They thrive in the underworld, between rumor and reality, their loyalties always in question. One among these operatives is more mysterious than the rest – The masked killer BK201, the Black Reaper. His true identity and intentions remain unknown, but as his path weaves through the shadows and alleys of Tokyo, blood is spilled on both sides of the law. It's a new age of confusion, and the rules of engagement have changed. The series hails from director Tensai Okamura (Wolf's Rain, Cowboy Bebop: The Movie, Naruto: The Movie) and Studio Bones (Fullmetal Alchemist, Wolf's Rain, Cowboy Bebop, Escaflowne), and features a music score by Yoko Kanno (Escaflowne, Macross, Cowboy Bebop, Aquarion).
Darker than Black: Complete Season 2 includes all 12 second-season episodes (Episodes 27-38) and 4 OVAs (Kuro no Keiyakusha: Gaiden, which collectively bridge the gap between Seasons One and Two). Darker than Black's second season was originally released on Blu-ray in 2011 and is available for purchase via twosets.
