Amazon's Blu-ray Deal of the Week affects selected films from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. Through March 2nd, Amazon is offering each Blu-ray for 50-69% off its respective MSRP.
The individual Blu-rays contain a wide assortment of bonus supplements, including behind-the-scenes documentaries, interviews with cast and crew members, archival historical footage, and audio commentaries.
Deals expire at 12 AM PST/3 AM EST next Sunday, March 3rd.
First of all, MSRP is a ridiculous figure to base any pricing on. Secondly, these have been out so long that they have all pretty much run their course. I sell Blu-Rays and DVDs on Amazon, and these titles, with the exception of the occasional "Chipmunks," or the even-less occasional "Black Swan," can't be given away.
They must have some bonehead in marketing over there. He won't last long.
LOVE Black Swan but bought the Target Edition right away when it was released. Juno was great too and I also already have that. Nothing else worthwhile.
Fox needs to have an uber discount on their Studio Classics and not the same recycled crappy movies and crappy releases. Yes, Patton (remastered) is a good deal at this price, but the overall selection is a disappointment.
