Is this the same project that Spielberg was attached to? If so, I long wondered what had become of it and am glad to hear that both Nolans are now involved.

Sounds good to me. I think he is actually better suited to straight Sci Fi than the more fantasy oriented Superhero genre.

Why did Steven Spielberg drop this? Was looking foward to this when he was attached to direct.

It was Steven who hired Jonathan Nolan to write years ago.

My guess is Jonathan Nolan's draft might have been a little cold for Spielberg's sensibility. Christopher will likely rewrite and make it more his own.

Does that mean we won't see the WB logo in front of the movie in the US?

We will see both WB & Paramount logos in front of the film most likely. I have a feeling Paramount will be distributing the Blu-Ray/DVD's however.

"The film will depict a heroic interstellar voyage to the furthest reaches of our scientific understanding." I saw it already when it was released as Prometheus.

Bluyoda - There's usually a fair bit of humour in Nolan's films. Alfred & Lucious provide some nice lines in the TDK trilogy, also If I remember rightly Tom Hardys & JGL's characters are quite funny in Inception.

Actually, HD if you've watched movies beyond the past few years then you've seen it in science fiction since A Trip to the Moon.

Sometimes it's how you tell the story.
This will be better than Prometheus.

I'm kind of lukewarm on Nolan, but I love sci-fi and space adventures, so the concept of this film is very intriguing.

Sounds good. Hopefully, there will be some humor in it, and not the usual dead serious Nolan film.

Look for plenty of expository dialogue.
