MediaInVision Offers Blu-ray Music Production

MediaInVision Creative Group has revealed that they now offer professional audio encoding and mastering for Blu-ray music production to independent recording artists. The Blu-ray Disc spec allows for storage of high resolution audio storage at 96kHz/24-bit for eight channels of audio, which provides ultra-realistic sound reproduction. MediaInVision is making use of this spec in order to produce music titles on the Blu-ray format.

About time!!! Even on a BD25 with 8 channels that's a LOT of music and it will sound WAY better than a CD.

Guess this is why Sony dropped SACD support from the PS3 budget models and all the blu recorders in Japan.

Very nice! But... can't we get even better sound than 96kHz/24-bit with the 50G storage. Blu-ray certainly could do better than SACD or DVD-A.
