Kick Ass 2 Trailer

Posted March 13, 2013 03:47 PM by Webmaster

Universal 100thUniversal Pictures has released the first trailer for writer/director Jeff Wadlow's Kick Ass 2, based on the comicbook of the same name by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr. The sequel stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the titular hero, ChloŽ Grace Moretz as Hit Girl, Jim Carrey as newcomer Colonel Stars and Stripes, Christopher Mintz-Plasse as returning villain Red Mist and Donald Faison as superhero Doctor Gravity, and arrives in U.S. theaters on June 28th.

Official Synopsis: When we last saw junior assassin Hit Girl and young vigilante Kick-Ass, they were trying to live as normal teenagers Mindy and Dave. With graduation looming and uncertain what to do, Dave decides to start the world's first superhero team with Mindy. Unfortunately, when Mindy is busted for sneaking out as Hit Girl, she's forced to retire, leaving her to navigate the terrifying world of high-school mean girls on her own. With no one left to turn to, Dave joins forces with super team Justice Forever, run by a born-again ex-mobster named Colonel Stars and Stripes. Just as they start to make a real difference on the streets, though, Red Mist -- reborn as The Mother F%&*#r -- assembles his own evil league and puts a plan in motion to make Kick-Ass and Hit Girl pay for what they did to his dad. But there's only one problem with his scheme: If you mess with one member of Justice Forever, you mess with all of them.

Aaron Johnson looks as bland and annoying as ever. Just make it about Hit Girl already, she's the one everyone cares about!

Any dogs lovers out there? Read the comic before you see the movie. It's not pretty.

Honestly, I didn't know what to expect from the trailer... and Matthew Vaughn wasn't directing so I was double-scared... but knowing Vaughn wrote the screenplay (or parts of it, I don't know exactly), that boosted my confidence. I'm truly looking forward to this one. Jim Carrey: as we've NEVER seen him before! Feels like he's doing a caricature of Alex from Clockwork Orange but that's just me...

I'm hesitant. The first film looked great in the trailers, but this looks a bit off. There seems to be too much quick-cutting, hyperactive editing. Of course, that could just be the trailer, but the director's track record worries me. I hope it'll be good, and I'm definitely looking forward to it, but I'm just going to be a little cautious.

Also, that doesn't seem like Jim Carrey AT ALL. It'll be very interesting to see what he does in the movie.

I can't wait to watch it!
Am I the only one who noticed that the sound in the trailer was really dull, muffled and weird?
I hope the sound in the movie is better.

Hope it's one of the rare times that the sequel betters a great original.

The first one was OK, worth watching. This trailer isn't very remarkable overall but Jim Carrey is the draw for me here...they have him looking and sounding very different from how he usually is, looks like an interesting part for him.

I happened to love the first one, hence my reason to hurry and watch this trailer....sorry I'm not "COOL ENOUGH" to hate this movie and ONLY watch Criterions (which I also love).

I didn't like the first "Kick-Ass" much, but this one, especially with Jim Carrey in there, seems to be a bit more enjoyable. I'll definitely be checking it out.

This looks like the same type of crap that Hollywood always passes off as comedy. Carrey is laughing all the way to the bank. Have fun wasting your money!

I believe I'm gonna send laxative to every poster who says the original is not funny. You people are bunged up, for sure! Pull your heads out!

OH MY GOD. Looks SO good. Is it just me, or did this make practically every other action film coming out this year look ultra-lame by comparison? Fun, brutal and hilarious. Everything a good action film should be.
