Riddick Teaser Trailer

Universal Studios has released a teaser trailer for David Twohy's upcoming science-fiction thriller Riddick (2013), starring Vin Diesel, Karl Urban, and Katee Sackhoff. The film is set open in theaters across the United States on September 6th.
Synopsis: Left for dead on a sun-scorched planet, Riddick finds himself up against an alien race of predators. Activating an emergency beacon alerts two ships: one carrying a new breed of mercenary, the other captained by a man from Riddick's past.
Excited about this, but disappointed that they can't even put this in 3D. The one thing I've always wanted to see a Riddick movie in 3D, with the great visuals and it's dark atmosphere it really should be.
Caesu: "Yes!!! Was hoping they would make a 3rd film! Looking forward to seeing "Starbuck" again in another role. I think she's a great actress from BSG"
You should check out the A&E series Longmire, then. She's one of the co-stars.
insomniac013: "Riddick is one of the coolest characters in film history! So glad he's up for another sequel! (Ignoring "Chronicles" which is something i approve of)"
Now, now. While Chronicles wasn't up to the level of Pitch Black, I think it's an underrated film. Rather like 2010 pales in comparison to 2001, but is still pretty good when taken on its own merits. Chronicles wasn't an sf/horror film like its predecessor, but more like a film version of a Jack Kirby "cosmic" comic book, but with a production design that looks like its by the French graphic novelist Philippe Druillet.
I wonder if Universal can be convinced to re-release Pitch Black on Blu-ray, only this time include the Sci-Fi Channel special Inside Pitch Black as an extra (something they never did on DVD).
