Yes!!! Was hoping they would make a 3rd film! Looking forward to seeing "Starbuck" again in another role. I think she's a great actress from BSG

Riddick is one of the coolest characters in film history! So glad he's up for another sequel! (Ignoring "Chronicles" which is something i approve of)

Looks like they've remade PITCH BLACK. Shipwrecked on another planet... Has to fight off a bunch of ravenous aliens... Yeah, I'm pretty sure I've seen this movie before.

Why does this clown get to keep making movies ? Didn't the second Riddick flop ? So they figured that they should just basically remake the first movie ? Is this a joke ?

Looks good! I'd put Riddick right up there with Snake Plisskin as the some of the best Anit-Heroes around.

@rickah88, well in that case expect Hollywood to remake Riddick in the future. Afterall, they're trying to remake Snake Plissken......bastards.

I agree rickah88, Riddick is one of the better and more memorable sci-fi anti-heros.

Excited about this, but disappointed that they can't even put this in 3D. The one thing I've always wanted to see a Riddick movie in 3D, with the great visuals and it's dark atmosphere it really should be.

Count me in on this one... Either this will be adding more additions or either it will end the series... either way, count me it... it will be worth it.

Maybe Paul Walker or Michelle Rodrigues will arrive in futuristic ATV's and they'll be wearing John Carter T-shirts....Another example of Hollywood spending millions on forgettable movies.

"I always thought she looked a bit like Brittany Murphy."

Wow, that was cruel. Katee isn't very attractive (and she's a horrible actress), but you basically just said she looks like she's dead.

Caesu: "Yes!!! Was hoping they would make a 3rd film! Looking forward to seeing "Starbuck" again in another role. I think she's a great actress from BSG"

You should check out the A&E series Longmire, then. She's one of the co-stars.

insomniac013: "Riddick is one of the coolest characters in film history! So glad he's up for another sequel! (Ignoring "Chronicles" which is something i approve of)"

Now, now. While Chronicles wasn't up to the level of Pitch Black, I think it's an underrated film. Rather like 2010 pales in comparison to 2001, but is still pretty good when taken on its own merits. Chronicles wasn't an sf/horror film like its predecessor, but more like a film version of a Jack Kirby "cosmic" comic book, but with a production design that looks like its by the French graphic novelist Philippe Druillet.

I wonder if Universal can be convinced to re-release Pitch Black on Blu-ray, only this time include the Sci-Fi Channel special Inside Pitch Black as an extra (something they never did on DVD).
