BBC Home Entertainment has announced the 2-disc Blu-ray release of Orphan Black: Season One. The Canadian sci-fi series is the latest inductee into BBC America's Supernatural Saturday block and stars Tatiana Maslany as the titular orphan, alongside Jordan Gavaris, Dylan Bruce, Maria Doyle Kennedy and Michael Mando. Season One streets on July 16th.
Synopsis: Sarah (Maslany) has always lived the life of an orphan outsider. But a clone is never alone. Sarah hopes that cleaning out a dead woman's bank account will solve all her problems. Instead, her problems multiply, and so does she. Her life is dramatically changed when she witnesses the suicide of a woman who looks just like her. Assuming the woman's identity, her boyfriend and her bank account, she makes the dizzying discovery that she and the dead woman are clones. But are they the only ones? Sarah quickly finds herself caught in the middle of a deadly conspiracy, racing to find answers about who she is and how many others there are just like her. Co-created by writer Graeme Manson (Flashpoint) and director John Fawcett (Spartacus), Orphan Black airs on BBC America on Saturdays at 9pm EST.

No, not the same with Continuum. Continuum (Season 1) aired in Canada a year ago, and only recently aired in the States. Orphan Black is simulcasting in both Canada and the US.
After watching the pilot, I decided to give this series a pass. I found that I just wasn't able to care about any of the characters, and the mysteries regarding the plot weren't compelling enough to overcome that lack of caring.
