Posted April 18, 2013 09:07 AM by Webmaster

Warner 90th AnniversaryWarner Bros. Home Entertainment has officially announced the Blu-ray release of director Bryan Singer's Jack the Giant Slayer, which stars Nicholas Hoult, Eleanor Tomlinson, Stanley Tucci, Ian Mcshane, Bill Nighy and Ewan Mcgregor. The high-action adventure will be available on June 18th via two editions: a 3-disc 3DBD/BD/DVD/UltraViolet combo pack and a 2-disc BD/DVD/UltraViolet combo pack.

Unleashed on the Earth for the first time in centuries, the giants strive to reclaim the land they once lost, forcing the young man, Jack, into the battle of his life to stop them. Fighting for a kingdom, its people, and the love of a brave princess (Tomlinson), he comes face to face with the unstoppable warriors he thought only existed in legend, and gets the chance to become a legend himself.

Both combo pack releases feature the following extras:

  • Become A Giant Slayer

    • Know Your Enemy
    • Suiting Up
    • Attack Tactics
    • The Magic of a Beanstalk
    • How to Zip
    • Gaints' Kitchen
    • Saving the Princess
    • Defending Your Kingdom

  • Jack the Giant Slayer Deleted Scene
  • Jack the Giant Slayer Gag Reel

More people will watch this on home video than they did in the theater, most likely.

Glad Warner has this one, and not Disney, considering what Disney's beginning with Oz.

I was quite impressed with this in theaters and thought the 3D was well done. Its a shame that more people did not give it a chance.

I heard bad things from a co-worker but still wanted to see it. Blind 3D buy if I can do so for about $20 (probably going to have to wait)

This movie was far better than I expected in theaters. Some of (not all) the early dialogue is bad, but once it actually picks up and starts going it's quite an enjoyable ride. Ewan McGregor seems like he's having the time of his life.

Will definitely wait for this to hit the movie channel, the only thing this movie makes me think is how much I wish Matt Vaughn was directing the next X-Men.

Excellent old-school adventure movie. One of the movies I've enjoyed the most so far this year. Warners did a terrible job marketing this.

This looked like a fun time waster. But like a lot of other people it seems I too were not willing to run to the theater to see it. I'll blind buy and enjoy at home.
