Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has officially announced the Blu-ray release of director Bryan Singer's Jack the Giant Slayer, which stars Nicholas Hoult, Eleanor Tomlinson, Stanley Tucci, Ian Mcshane, Bill Nighy and Ewan Mcgregor. The high-action adventure will be available on June 18th via two editions: a 3-disc 3DBD/BD/DVD/UltraViolet combo pack and a 2-disc BD/DVD/UltraViolet combo pack.
Synopsis: Jack the Giant Slayer tells the story of an ancient war that's reignited when a young farmhand (Hoult) unwittingly opens a gateway between our world and a fearsome race of giants. Unleashed on the Earth for the first time in centuries, the giants strive to reclaim the land they once lost, forcing the young man, Jack, into the battle of his life to stop them. Fighting for a kingdom, its people, and the love of a brave princess (Tomlinson), he comes face to face with the unstoppable warriors he thought only existed in legend, and gets the chance to become a legend himself.

This movie was far better than I expected in theaters. Some of (not all) the early dialogue is bad, but once it actually picks up and starts going it's quite an enjoyable ride. Ewan McGregor seems like he's having the time of his life.
