Killing Lincoln Blu-ray
Posted April 24, 2013 06:18 PM by Webmaster
Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment will release on Blu-ray Adrian Moat's Killing Lincoln (2013), narrated by Tom Hanks and starring Regen Wilson, Billy Campbell, Jesse Johnson, and Geraldine Hughes. Executive produced by Ridley Scott and Tony Scott, Killing Lincoln will be available for purchase on June 11th.
Based on The New York Times best-selling novel, Killing Lincoln is the suspenseful, eye-opening story of the events surrounding the assassination of U.S. President Abraham Lincoln. While some aspects of the plot to slay Lincoln and cripple the newly forming union are widely known, much more of the history unfolds in this insightful thriller. As actor John Wilkes Booth becomes increasingly obsessed with removing Lincoln from office, a secret cabal forms, and ultimately empowers Booth to carry out an event that will change America forever.

An Interview with Author Bill O'Reilly
Uncovering the Truth: The Making Of Killing Lincoln
O'Reilly is not really a far right-winger, he is more of a convenient conservative in that he only wants the government involved when it suits his needs/causes, like a great deal of republicans on their way out. He can come off smug but does redeem himself by calling out both sides on their shenanigans. That being said, i have read a few of his books and have enjoyed them all.
I look forward to reading the book and watching this at the same time. I curious to see what was left out. The documentary was done by producers Tony and Ridley Scott. The narration by Tom Hanks was also well done. Just like the film Lincoln (2012) the is not much in the way a bonus materials considering the topic that is sligtly disappointing.
It's interesting Bill O would work with Liberal Tom Hanks since Bill O a close minded wackjob who hates Hollywood Liberals. He refuses to even watch anything Sean Penn or George Clooney have made because he feels Liberal Hollywood should have no say, celebs should have no say...and then he gives a weekly segment to washed up and unfunny, Dennis Miller.
His books based on Killing Lincoln and Killing Kennedy etc also have been ripped apart by experts on both men saying they contain so many factual errors and many even person with limited knowledge on the two would likely know if they passed middle or high school. One massive one in Lincoln is that Bill O states 30 MILLION showed up to view Lincoln's funeral train. I believe that year of his death there were 31 Million in this country. So pretty much every American in the country, every state showed up? Really. I'm sure though some believe that. He also mentions Lincoln in the Oval Office MANY times. The Oval Office wasn't built when Lincoln was president. He has also heavily stated and defended Lincoln would still be a Republican these days, which ANYONE who knows even a shred of info on Lincoln knows is completely untrue. White people from the South HATED Lincoln much like they do Obama today. In Killing Kennedy of course like any conspiracy theorist he has to rehash the entire Magic Bullet garbage. Thing is, with these books, Bill O changes history so it suits his opinions. Just like when Sarah Palin distorts facts about how religious our founding fathers were. People believe it even though it's untrue. That's what all right wingers do these days. The HATE historical facts so they alter them in their favor. Now they are making books about them. It's embarrassing Tom Hanks would even get involved, maybe he didn't read the book. Bill O is a man who distorts the truth on a daily basis so anyone who doesn't think he wont distort historical facts are kidding themselves. Like Bill O's show, these books are opinion based, not completely fact based. Now if one needed a book on the Loofah and sexual harassment, Bill O would be ideal for a book like that.
