New Trailer: Fast & Furious 6

Posted April 29, 2013 11:03 AM by Webmaster

Universal 100thUniversal Pictures has released the final theatrical trailer for director Justin Lin's Fast & Furious 6, starring Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Luke Evans and Gina Carano. The sixth entry in the successful Fast & Furious franchise is set to open in U.S. theaters on May 24th.

Synopsis: Since Dom (Diesel) and Brian's (Walker) Rio heist toppled a kingpin's empire and left their crew with $100 million, our heroes have scattered across the globe. But their inability to return home and living forever on the lam have left their lives incomplete. Meanwhile, Hobbs (Johnson) has been tracking an organization of lethally skilled mercenary drivers across 12 countries, whose mastermind (Luke Evans) is aided by a ruthless second-in-command revealed to be the love Dom thought was dead, Letty (Rodriguez). The only way to stop the criminal outfit is to outmatch them at street level, so Hobbs asks Dom to assemble his elite team in London. Payment? Full pardons for all of them so they can return home and make their families whole again.

Ok, seriously...why am I so excited for this! By "part 6", most sequels start to SUCK!! These have been awesome as far as action, decent plots, keeping the SAME actors and actresses together for a string of films, and it looks like this one is going to have lots more car action compared to Fast Five, which was a kick-a$$ action movie on its own!

I can understand why peopl like these movies, I can. But I think they're shit. I could tolerate the cliche crap and bad acting and everything else, if only the car chases were actually cool. Bullit, French Connection, The Seven Ups, Ronin, Death Proof, they all had way better car chases than any of the Fast movies, and Bullit and The Seven Ups are like 40 years old. The stunts in these movies are cool, sure, but the car chases and the cinematography and shot blocking for the car chases are garbage.

I enjoy most of the movies in this Franchise (aside from 2) and felt like Fast 5 hit the perfect blend of over-the-top but still very well directed/executed. these movies are ridiculous at times but they actually are very entertaining IMHO, unlike most generic action movies of late. Hopefully they can repeat the results of the last one.

I was so excited for this until I saw 5 minutes of footage leaked on the internet. It was the tank scene and the end of it was so uproariously ridiculous and over the top it made the bridge jump in Fast Five look like Malcom X. Im still gonna see it, but they are really pushing it too the limit of the action being unbelievable.

Looks awesome. But, I was kinda waiting for Optimus Prime to jump out of all those cars flying everywhere. I agree that they are getting a little far-fetched with all those insane action sequences.

@PBateman87: 2 kind of sucked, but 3 through 5 get progressively better, and I thought 5 was even better than the first. You should check 'em out.
