Need for Speed: First Look

Posted June 11, 2013 05:07 PM by Webmaster

DreamWorks AnimationDreamWorks Pictures has released a new promo video for director Scott Waugh's highly anticipated film Need for Speed, an adaptation of the Need For Speed videogames. The film stars Dominic Cooper, Aaron Paul, Dakota Johnson, Imogen Poots, and Michael Keaton, and is set to open in theaters across the United States on July 11, 2014.

Official synopsis: Framed for a crime he didn't commit, muscle car mechanic and street racer Tobey (Aaron Paul) gets out of prison determined to settle the score with the man responsible for his false conviction. Tobey tears up the road in a gritty cross-country journeyŚ one that begins as a mission for revenge, but proves to be one of redemption.

Dont we already have 6 subpar driving movies from the Fast and Furious franchise? And why is it so hard for them to make a decent video game movie? Come on people. Final Fantasy VII Advent Children was like the last good video game movie. If you wanna make a cool racing movie, take a good franchise at least, like F-Zero or Wipeout or Driver.

@Graham1138: Fast & Furious franchise is subpar?? To each his own I guess. I find it's the most exciting franchise in movies today (apart from James Bond). Fast Five and Six were stellar action films and some of the most fun I had at the theatre in ages. This Need for Speed film has potential; so far so good! I'm in for more

Yeah, I almost blew coffee all over my keyboard when he said that. Everybody who street races always brings a million dollar hyper car.......and a mustang?
