Too bad there's no commentary tracks. It's such a good movie.

Day one for me. It was action packed and intense, and a lot better than I thought it was going to be. It's already giving White House Down a run for its money...

Missed it in theaters. Wish it were getting here a little sooner. That's just under a 5-month turnaround from theatrical to Blu. This was released on 3/22. By contrast, "42" was released on 4/12...yet will be out on Blu on 7/16.

Can't wait to see it though!

Easy pass on this one along with its remake White House Down, at least this one doesn't have Channing Tatum in it, sadly it does have Butler though.

B movie quality CGI and a by the numbers plot means I'll be passing on this one. Hopefully White House Down will be the better of the two.

'Hopefully White House Down will be the better of the two'

LOL, HIGHLY unlikely.. for one, this movie was great, anybody going to see white house down will automatically think 'rip off'

second, its starring Channing Tatum, personally i dont mind him, but Comedys are his thing and he should stick to em'

third, its directed by Roland Emmerich, i think that says it all, the man has a huge resume and only about 10% of it is good

I guess I'm in the minority. I didn't like this movie.
The tone of the movie was all over the place. Fun at one moment, and too serious at others. It just didn't pull off well IMHO. Some of the action scenes was good but CGI was really bad with bad acting and story. Plus the bad guys had no charisma. But I do agree, this was better than the last Die Hard movie.

I also hope the "White House Down" would be better than this. I don't really like Channing Tatum, but it does look like it has more over the top action with lot of humor. Looks fun.

Wow!
Freeman has a great agent if he is front and centre on that cover. Butler doesn't even have a full face shot on it.

Does anyone else like how Sony distributes Filmdistrict films. This means that White House Down and Ollympus has Fallen will both be Sony BD releases.
