Independent distributors Shout Factory have officially announced that they will release a combo pack edition of director Jayson Thiessen's My Little Pony: Equestria Girls (2013). The release will be available for purchase in the United States and Canada on August 6th.
When Twilight Sparkle's crown is stolen from the Crystal Empire, she pursues the thief, Sunset Shimmer, into an alternate world where she finds herself turned into…a teenage girl! To regain her crown and return to Equestria, Twilight must learn how to fit into this strange, new world and defeat Sunset Shimmer in a competition to become crowned Princess of the Fall Formal at Canterlot High. Luckily, she will have the assistance of Spike and five teenage girls who remind her of a certain group of ponies back home.
Yes, Bronies. Don't think badly of them, they've just become attached to a really great show. So before you comment, please learn a bit on the bronies and what they do to help the community. Heck, they are a fantastic fanbase overall, even if there are some bad apples, but every fanbase has problems. Here is a link to a well made documentory on the bronies, I hope It changes your views towards them! If not, that's fine~ I've done all that I could
I remember being a kid, watching G.I. JOE or the Transformers and commercials for My Little Pony came on and they always had separate ponys for different things. One had wings, one had a horn, one had sparkle eyes and one was fuzzy. I always wondered why they didn't make one pony with all the features to rock out in complete madness.
This is the $h!t I think about when I'm taking a cr@p.
@ ITouchPandas - I don't know if you were replying to me or the other folks posting about the bronies, but I'm not criticizing. I can see the appeal of the show, I watch it with my daughter and it's obvious like a lot of good kids shows, there's a some good writing and stuff designed to appeal to adults (parents or otherwise). It's just funny that this show's main fanbase consists of early schoolage girls and adult men, such a strange mixture.
@baheidstu - I was sort of talking to everyone at the time, because even if a person doesn't know anything about the show (Hasn't watched it before) they will still criticize it. I just wanted to put a little info out there for people who don't know about. And yes, it is pretty funny that this type of show got a huge male fanbase!
