I think he can pull it off. I have enjoyed Jamie Foxx in many other movies, he has a great screen presence. Can't wait to see the full trailer and the film!

James looking like a villain... meh. I enjoyed the original Spiderman better, I still enjoyed The Amazing Spiderman but Sony should of secured the deal with Sam Raimi and made Spiderman 4 & 5 instead!!

I'm already sold as I thought Amazing Spider-Man was the best comic book movie of the last 20 years. Yeah. There. I've said it. I didn't care for Raimi's Spidey movies. I love the man's work (Evil Dead, Darkman, Army of Darkness) but to me, his Spider-Man trilogy was underwhelming to say the least and horribly miscast. So go ahead and vote me down all you want, you bunch of haters :P

I thought The Amazing Spiderman was pretty good despite my hatred for Emma Stone and the god awful intentionally awkward and SOMEHOW forced romantic moments. Just not sold on Jamie Foxx as a villain. Electro looks lame.

Hmmm. I don't know. I agree he doesn't sound very menacing but I'll wait and see. Spidey 2 so far is still the best. Spidey 3 so far is still the worst. Also agree that Parker as a nerd is better.

I can't wait, Amazing Spider Man was one of my favorite movies of last year and is one of my favorite superhero movies. (I don't like many superhero movies.)

That last scene of Foxx somehow reminds me of Handi-Man from the show "In Living Color".

To me he comes off looking to much like static (DC comics character) and nothing like Electro this bad move by disney!
Cause I think Marvel has no real input in these re-boots? were are the super-comic-books nerd to help in development of these movies?

Haters be hating on a fucking PROMO.
Get a life! I see MUCH more potential in the newer ASM than the previous. Also, it's quite ridiculous calling Raimi's ones "the originals", when it's all based on comics from several decades before those were made, and there's been (a) TV series and cartoons during that time.
BluLamp here is right. AMS was definitely one of the better movies last year, but was voted down, for what...? For a personal, honest opinion?
Sometimes I'm thinking of getting like 20 accounts here just to vote up sane comments and show the haters that they are just BORING and have nothing else to do but piss on other people's joy. Also, the haters voting down comments rarely have the spine to write something constructive themselves. So piss off, will you. You stink.

cjsanche: Can you read? Do you have any experience in movie PR? This was a _promo_, not a trailer. It's not even a teaser! But hey, movies are fast food for you, like all other haters out there.

@MikaLove: I've got the spine to vote you down AND post this constructive sentence. Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah!

I will also use your infantile words to my benefit: "So piss off, will you? You stink."

Have a nice day.

As far as the trailer goes, I'm no longer a fan of Foxx, since his racially-driven act of wearing a Trayvon Martin t-shirt to the BET awards before the jury had come up with the verdict. I'll be passing on this one.
