People always mention "The Lone Ranger" "After Earth" and "R.I.P.D." when talking about Summer's biggest bombs, but "The Internship" only did 44M at the box-office. Compared to the 209M "The Wedding Crashers" did, which (let's face it), the type of numbers they were probably hoping for, it was a huge flop.
Pretty sure no one expected "The Wedding Crashers" to be the hit it was. But you can't tell me the studio wasn't hoping for the same numbers pairing these two up again. And regardless how you slice it, 44M is pretty bad. Especially for the amount of advertising this thing got.
@Daytripper: Their first mistake was the ridiculously unattractive title. They could have come up with something MUCH more intriguing than that. "Wedding Crashers" SOUNDS fun. "The Internship" sounds freakin' dull and stupid.
