StudioCanal and CBS Films have released a new theatrical trailer for the Joel and Ethan Coen's Inside Llewyn Davis, starring Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Justin Timberlake, Garrett Hedlund, John Goodman and F. Murray Abraham.
Synopsis: Follow a week in the life of a young folk singer (Isaacs) as he navigates the Greenwich Village folk scene of 1961. Guitar in tow, huddled against the unforgiving New York winter, he is struggling to make it as a musician against seemingly insurmountable obstacles -- some of them of his own making.
Inside Llewyn Davis is set to arrive in U.S. theaters on December 6th.
Seeing a film by the Coens, among the greatest contemporary American filmmakers, is "swallowing willingly" just because Timberlake is in it? He is not even the star of the film anyways. Way to be up-your-own-ass and closed-minded before even seeing a movie.
Joel and Ethan have never required your seal of approval before, CandyStalker...why should they need it this time?
That said, the cast of this film is...interesting. The Coens are putting a lot of faith in some relatively untested actors (Isaac, Timberlake, Hedlund)...something they haven't done much of since Raising Arizona.
I'll be watching. Willingly. No swallowing required.
I agree with CandyStalker. I can't stand Justin Timberlake and think he does reduce the quality in anything he's in. Like he did (for me) in "The Social Network". But I saw that because David Fincher is my favorite director working at the moment. And I'll watch anything the Coens do. Anything!
Looks like Oscar material. And I agree about Justin Timberlake. I can't take him as a serious actor. He was surprisingly good in The Social Network, but I'm sure that someone else could have done a better job.
