Scream Factory to Release Daniel Haller's Die, Monster, Die!

Posted September 3, 2013 10:22 PM by Webmaster

Shout FactoryScream Factory, the horror-thriller offshoot of independent film distributor Shout Factory, has revealed that it plans to bring to Blu-ray director Daniel Haller's Die, Monster, Die! a.k.a Monster of Terror (1965), starring Boris Karloff, Nick Adams, Freda Jackson, and Suzan Farmer. The release is expected to arrive on the U.S. market in early 2014.

A mad English scientist (is there any other kind?) entertains a young American visitor, serving up tea, terror and a terrific-looking daughter - who is soon torn between her father's evil ways and her need to protect the man she loves from a diabolical end.

Scream releasing titles from the 60's is nothing but great news for all us horror fans. Keep it up.

Shout started with some classic horror titles with their upcoming release of The Vincent Price Collection and it appears that there's going to be a lot more goodies coming our way.

Well, that's another $20 or so out of my bank account. Here's hoping for THE DUNWICH HORROR as well!

Nice that they're releasing this one on blu. However, I own the dvd that was released a few years ago. I wish they would focus on some of the titles in the MGM catalog that have NEVER been released on dvd or blu.

Without Warning (1980), Blood Beach, so many others they could unleash.

I'll stick with the dvd copy as this one is good, but not great.

I'm about to start collecting all the '80s movies that Shout! Factory has released so far.

'Terror Train' is my first. 'Swamp Thing' is next.

@ BluRayFreak - those are the ones you'l start with? Man, go for The Howling, The Fog, Humanoids From The Deep, Piranha, Prison, Lifeforce or Galaxy of Terror first!

Right, release the ones that were never in their original OAR!!! Those are the ones we'll double dip on, not these that we have in SD and look good enough upscaled to 1080i/p!

Remember about The Swamp Thing, you're not getting the European version, only the last DVD issued has that!!! This is not the one to double dip on!

Very cool. Lovecraft's work has never really been done right on film, but this is a fairly interesting attempt. Being able to see it in widescreen and decent color will be a treat. I'm on-board with just about ANY horror/sci-fi title from the 50's and 60's. Count me in.
