I really wanted to see this when it came out in theaters. I was six. I'm glad I waited until I was thirty because I imagine I got a lot more out of it. Some pretty farfetched plot points but it's still a very enjoyable flick. I'd pick it up for $10, maybe $15 at the most, especially because I don't expect any bonus features aside from the theatrical trailer. Wish we could see more catalog titles like this released every week. By the time they get around to overlooked classics like McCabe & Mrs Miller and Suspiria, the next freaking format will be coming out!

Absolutely.. One of my favorites from late 88. I remember seeing this in the theater and being blown away of how good an actor Raul Julia was.. one of his better films. And of course this was sandwiched right between Lethal Weapon and Lethal Weapon 2, when Mel Gibson was the most popular actor around. The song at the end "Surrender to Me" is still a great one. Another late great actor in this.. J. T. Walsh.. that guy put in some great performances in his short time on the screen... Man, where did 25 years go? I remember this being one of the first real 'adult-themed' films I had gone to see at the theater.. all the R rated action films, even then, like "First Blood Part II" and "Lethal Weapon" still felt geared towards teenagers of my generation. But this film felt to me like it was more serious and grown up. But I was 20 when I saw it too. Still, Id like to have this on Blu-Ray when its a decent price. I will wait for a price drop on it. Nothing is worth a day 1 full price purchase in my opinion.

No matter what you think of Mel Gibson in his personal life, he's a great actor and he did a lot of good movies that I want to see on blu-ray. I'm happy to see Tequila Sunrise is coming, but I also want to see many more of his movies including Conspiracy Theory, The Man Without a Face, Forever Young, The Year of Living Dangerously, and The Bounty among others.

Come on!

One of my all time favorite movies. Incredibly sharp dialogue, great performances all around, palpable chemistry, award nominated cinematography and some decent suspense. Can't wait!

Finally!!! I can't wait! It has taken forever to arrive.

Tequila Sunrise is one of my favorite movies, period. It was perfectly cast with Mel Gibson, Kurt Russell, Michele Pfieffer, Raul Julia, J.T. Walsh and Arlis Howard; and the movie has a sexiness that's entrancing. It was beautifully shot and Michelle Pfeiffer looks absolutely stunning! Tequila Sunrise was very well written, with brilliant performances throughout and a fantastic, smart story. When I first saw the movie in the theatre at 15 in 1988, I was so taken by the film that I went to the theatre twice in one week. Robert Towne created an absolute masterpiece.

I've had Tequila Sunrise on VHS, Beta, Laserdisc and DVD; and have been waiting with bated breath for 7 years to see it on blu-ray. It will be truly great to see it in glorious 1080P, and hear that brilliant David Sanborn solo in beautiful lossless audio!
