@bowlingbilly10, there you go man. December 10th. Seriously tho, I hope when I come on here in a year from now, I still see you posting "when are they going to release fast 6?" cuz if you don't, I may have to.
About damn time for this to be released!!! But why a 7 month gap between theater and blu ray?! That's ridiculous!! Epic came out the same time but it got released on bluray in August! I'm most definitely getting the steelbook!
people did get on him for it, as i said before you should just be patient and wait for the release date, december is a little long considering fast five was released in October but it was hardly the best film of the year and there are much better films coming on Blu in the meantime.
All the extras are the same as the UK Steelbook so why the US has had to wait longer for the film on Blu-ray compared to the UK is a bit strange.
The only thing I can think off is the Take Control extra is only a twenty minute extra on the UK disc and can't be played with the film like a PiP track or U-Control feature. Maybe on the US disc Take Control will be made into a proper U-Control feature and that's what the delay is. Any thoughts fellow BD people?
Disappointed it is only 5.1 and not 7.1 like other newer Universal titles.
The extra two channels would make the awesome soundtrack more amazing.
Hope it has the extended cut like UK disc. Not sure if I will double dip on this one.
Can't wait for Fast & Furious 6 on Blu-Ray But why did it take Universal so long to release it on Blu-Ray? I mean come on why wait until December to release the Blu-Ray Disc? That being said looking forward to the film on Blu-Ray.
To everyone who is shocked to see the 7.1 track missing from the Blu-ray , This movie was originally mixed and theatrically released in 5.1 audio and there will be no version , even in the future with 7.1 audio.
@erlinmeyer: I doubt there will ever be a 7.1 track (even in a "collections" set) for Fast 6. The 5.1 track is on the disc no matter where its from. Same content, different countries. I purchased the Fast and Furious Collection 1-6 (region free) from UK. It will be same Fast 6 released here in a few months.
I got over it not being 7.1. I just switch my audio/video receiver to Cinema X and it fills all seven (and nine if I want) channels and sounds pretty damned good. My neighbors hate me, but I love this soundtrack!
