John Mayer's Where the Light Is Blu-ray Details (Updated)

Sony BMG has announced that the John Mayer concert 'Where the Light Is' will be released for Blu-ray on July 1st. Recorded on December 8, 2007 at the Nokia Theater in Los Angelos, the concert features three sets: an acoustic performance, a rare "John Mayer Trio" performance, and one set with the full band.
Shot with eight Super 35 cameras, video will be presented in 1080p24 accompanied by both a stereo PCM and 5.1 Dolby TrueHD soundtrack, both at highly accurate 96Hz/24-bit encoding.

This release will also be packed with Blu-ray exclusive BonusView and BD-Live features, including a picture-in-picture experience with Steve Jordan & Pino Palladino as well as the BD-Live downloadable "Belief" backstage performance. Other extras include a Mulholland Drive acoustic performance. This will be the first Sony BMG title to make use of BonusView and BD-Live features.

Hmmm...I could buy this on Blu for $20 to $30 or I could actually go to the concert and spend hundreds of dollars on one ticket, pay the gas and parking to get there, likely have to sit in the back and hear the audio reverb around the room.
Gee...let me think.... :P
It's no wonder our generation loves to sit our butts on our couches. It's cheaper and better. Especially at these gas prices.
We better watch out. Concerts will stop happening if people don't go to them. |

I am BIG John Mayer fan!!! I am for sure going to pick this one up!!! I seen him Live at The House Of Blues, and that was one of the best performances I have seen!!! So this is a must have for me!! |
