American Hustle, Written by Eric Warren Singer and David O. Russell; Columbia Pictures
Blue Jasmine, Written by Woody Allen; Sony Pictures Classics
^ Corny is correct about 12YAS. But I'm definitely bummed that Inside Llewyn Davis didn't get a nomination, as the Coens were definitely WGA-eligible. ILD also did not get one of the 10 Producers Guild nominations yesterday either, so it's Oscar chances are probably down to maybe Best Original Song if "Please Mr. Kennedy" can make some noise.
Woody Allen? Oh barf. That guy has been in a bubble atop an ivory tower for decades now. His dialog and stories are a series of self-congratulatory, literary diarrhea. Speaking of parables, let's nominate a movie about a man falling in love with a machine. What is this, 1988?
