Perfect Storm Entertainment has confirmed that director Justin Lin will direct a remake of Cheung Yam-Yim's Shaolin Temple (1982). The film, which is expected to be produced in China, will also be shot in 3D.
The original film helped launch the career of martial arts superstar Jet Li. It tells the story of a young man who joins the Shaolin Temple to acquire the necessary skills to defeat a vicious warlord.
