Ancient Aliens: Season 5 Vol. 2 Blu-ray

Posted February 4, 2014 02:34 PM by Webmaster

Lionsgate FilmsLionsgate Home Entertainment has officially announced that it will release on Blu-ray Ancient Aliens: Season 5 Vol 2. The release will be available for purchase online and in stores across the nation on March 4th.

Did the knowledge and advancements of ancient civilizations have extraterrestrial origins? Ancient Aliens: Season 5 - Volume 2 from HISTORY pursues the topic from many angles. "Emperors, Kings and Pharaohs" explores whether ancient leaders, usually attributed with divine powers, were actually connected to extraterrestrial forces. "Alien Operations" examines advanced medical procedures practiced in the ancient world, as evidenced by wall carvings and skeletal remains. Did these skills come from an otherworldly source? Archaeologists ponder the healing power of ancient objects like sacred bones in "Mysterious Relics" and luminous skull-shaped crystals in "The Crystal Skulls." Do these controversial artifacts hold the secrets to the universe? And were giant winged deities known as Anunnaki responsible for ancient Sumerian leaps in advancement? Find out in "The Anunnaki Connection." This provocative collection also includes "The Satan Conspiracy," "The Power of Three" and "The Magic of the Gods."

It's bad enough that Lionsgate thinks that many people will continue collecting these on Blu-ray when they completely skipped seasons 2 and 3 on the format, but now they're releasing season 5 vol 2 without even putting out vol 1? Utterly clueless... With that kind of business sense they're destined to be the next MGM.

Agreed ^
I actually do like this show, and would buy it if the other seasons were on blu ray, but I'm not going to have HALF the series on blu ray, and not the other half.

What after 5 seasons and they they still haven't proven aliens have been here? Between shows like this and shows involving finding Bigfoot or ghosts, it's no wonder the state of television is what it is! Just cause you can't understand something it doesn't mean aliens had a hand in it! Isn't that the reason we created God?
Oh my god did you hear that noise? I think it must have been a ghost or maybe it was Bigfoot.
Really?

Really want all seasons available. The producers never forces you to believe anything and I have my own conclusion to the material presented, but this show definitely makes me think. That's the definition of a good documentary to me.

@classicfan1224 I wasn't really making any comment on God or the lack of a supreme being, I was just covering my bases! lol
I just find the fact that any show that can last more then one episode regarding a matter such as Bigfoot, ghosts or aliens, an amazing feat of brilliance!
My favourite are the ghost hunting shows when the on screen talent says something like "Did you hear that?" or "Oh my God, I just felt something go by me!"
Really people! This is the problem with TV. I thought there was hope for TV and mankind. Shows like that just give the audience the lowest common dominator.
If we're to advance as a species, shows like this aren't the way!
Sorry for the rant, I just feel strongly regarding the dumbing of our culture!

Lowest? Have you heard of Duck Dynasty. Honey Booboo. The Kardashians. Maury. The list goes on and on. At least Ancient Aliens has a basis in history. It presents theories wrapped around scientific facts we do know about civilization. A "what if" scenario is presented to the audience. None of the alien angles are suggested to be more than possibility. Hardly an indication of the end of mankind.

I'd take a show like this over the drivel that is big Bang theory or Honey boo boo. Those shows are causing America to be idiots. Even if you don't believe in what ancient aliens is reporting it still opens your eyes to history and cultures and just may cause you to do some research of your own on what is shown. I find the ancient astronaut theory to be a little farfetched at times but as someone that find all religions to be much more farfetched the idea of aliens visiting an early human culture is not so far out there for me personally

These shows are being made because it's easy. And because they're based in fantasy there's no need for expensive production or research. Sticking to fact is expensive and involves accountability, just making stuff up is cheap. That nonsense is shrouding sciency things like history and archaeology makes it no more intellectually bankrupt than following ignorant rednecks around with a camera all day.
