Top Gun Landing on Blu-ray this July

Paramount Home Entertainment has announced that they will bring the Tom Cruise 80's classic film 'Top Gun' to Blu-ray on July 29th. Originally announced for Blu-ray last year, the release was canceled when Paramount went HD DVD exclusive. Now that Paramount is back in the Blu, they have reannounced this classic title. No technical specs or special features have been announced for this title, but expect it to be similar to the previous HD DVD release.

This is a classic film. Loads of people will be picking this up. It was a great film, however I think it is geared more towards the ladies? Lol.

This entire movie is about guys checking out each others units! Ha, ha. Okay, it's still a pretty cool flick from Tony Scott all these years later and I will definitely check it out. The dts:es track on the DVD was good, the PCM track will surely best it handily.

I feel the need, the need for high def 80's entertainment! With a lossless soundtrack, this one should be awesome!

I can't wait. I just got rid of all of my HD-DVD's and I was hoping this would come out on Blu-ray. I bet it is going to sound awesome!

IT'S ABOUT TIME!!! I can't tell you how many days I've checked the news section just to see if there was any news about Top Gun's release. I'm so happy I could fly a cargo plane full of rubber dog sh!t outta Hong Kong.
