Edge of Tomorrow - New Trailer

Posted May 12, 2014 05:14 PM by Webmaster

Warner 90th AnniversaryWarner Brothers and Village Roadshow Pictures have released a new trailer for Doug Liman's (Swingers, Go) latest project Edge of Tomorrow (2014), starring Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt, Bill Paxton, Lara Pulver, and Jeremy Piven. The film will open in theaters across the United States on June 6th.

Synopsis: The epic action of Edge of Tomorrow unfolds in a near future in which an alien race has hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, unbeatable by any military unit in the world. Major William Cage (Cruise) is an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is unceremoniously dropped into what amounts to a suicide mission. Killed within minutes, Cage now finds himself inexplicably thrown into a time loopforcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again...and again. But with each battle, Cage becomes able to engage the adversaries with increasing skill, alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski (Blunt). And, as Cage and Rita take the fight to the aliens, each repeated encounter gets them one step closer to defeating the enemy.

Saw some extended commercial for this when I watched Arrow last week I think. It really is starting to look better. I was not sold by the original trailer at all?

Was any of this actually filmed in IMAX ala Dark Knight or MI: Ghost Protocol? Just curious if it's actually worth venturing out to see it in IMAX or not.

i wasn't sold by the original trailer one bit, and I absolutely love Tom Cruise. He brings so much intensity into his roles. But this last trailer really got me excited for this! Day 1 for sure!!

Cruise has pretty-much redeemed himself from the Oprah-incident. Like Stallone, he keeps delivering, and I, for one, appreciate it.

Thank God it's PG-13, it's full of bloated CGI action, and it's in 3D. Wouldn't be good otherwise. Oh yeah, and BRAAAAAM!!
