Didn't like this one, I much preferred the sequel so I will wait for that.

FINALLY! One of my favorites! Of course, it'll just put me in the mood to play the pinball game

I love both of the Addams Family movies. They should have just put them out as a double set.

To be honest, I liked Addams Family Values better than the first one, IMO. I'll either wait for the sequel on a standalone release, or get both films as an inevitable double feature.

@ Impossible: Here here. I'm more of a fan of the sequel, even if it does have its own flaws.

Just hope WB takes a step further and have the director do a commentary track for these films, but I remain grounded that they likely won't.

One of my favorite films as a kid. But what's with the cover? They should have used the original poster.

The UK blu-ray was released last year. Judging from the reviews on Amazon.co.uk, it has a great transfer but the only extras are the theatrical trailers!

I enjoy this film, but I also prefer the sequel. I'll wait until both get a release and the price goes down even further, or when Paramount sticks them both in a double feature.

And yes - BRADY BUNCH MOVIEs next, please! ;-)

Hopefully a different transfer given that past international editions were pretty awful quality.

I had never seen these films until this past Halloween. I picked up the two film DVD set. I liked them both a lot, though like others, I thought the sequel had a broader story and was the better of the two. Though it's nice to see this on DVD, they should have done a 2 film collection. For now, I will stick to my DVD of both.

Oh, for I moment when I read the headline I thought it was the TV show, then I looked at the cover and the joy was gone. But this movie is good, not as good as the sequel, but still quite funny. Weak cover, though.

Definitely waiting on the sequel. Hopefully they'll release them as a doubler set. Values is my fave, and the only Thanksgiving movie I watch each year!

I'm not sure I've ever even seen the first movie. Love the sequel though and wish it were coming too.

As others have mentioned, should have been a double pack with the better (in my opinion) sequel.

Im sure this will be just like the release of "Airplane!". That came out first about 2 years ago, the sequel released not too long ago. Now just recently released is the double feature of both. Im sure the Addams Family films will follow that same path. I will wait for the double feature release. I rate both films pretty equally. But hey, they have the late great Raul Julia in them. One of the great ones gone too soon.

Good news. Though, considering WB's propensity for dual-movie combos, I might hold out for the, hopefully eventual, two movie set with the sequel.

Fun movie. And yes, the sequel was better. It'll come soon I'm sure. I hope the PQ for this is decent. And what's with that horrible cover?

Hopefully, this will not be sourced from the same master that 20th Century Fox used on their European releases. DNR to the nth degree.

Hmm wish they were both being released at the same time, either as a box set or separately. With the way the studios like to release odd ball 2 or 3 movie collections, Addams Family, like Analyze This/That, is a 2-fer that makes sense.

Just watched this with our youngest the other day! Glad to see it coming out. The wife and I played this pinball game so much back when we were dating. Almost 20 years later and it's still one of my favorite machines ever. "That's the spirit thing! Lend a hand!"

Hope this is a great transfer. I'd love to upgrade! As others have said, not sure about that cover, though. The dvd has a much better one. I also hope this means the sequel is on its way. The scene when Wednesday smiles...
