Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment has not yet officially announced and detailed its upcoming Blu-ray release of Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014), but fans of the film can already place their pre-orders at Amazon.
Exact technical specs and supplemental features to be included on these upcoming releases are yet to be revealed.
X-Men: Days of Future Past stars Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, Patrick Stewart, Michael Fassbender, Ian McKellen, Peter Dinklage, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Halle Berry, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Omar Sy and Evan Peters. The film is currently playing in theaters across the United States.
Official synopsis; The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-Men: Days of Future Past, based on the classic 1981 "Uncanny X-Men" story "Days of Future Past," by writer Chris Claremont and artist John Byrne. The beloved characters from the original X-Men film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from X-Men: First Class in an epic battle that must change the past to save our future.
Anyone really digging the cover art and color scheme? It's quite eye catching. I hope IF an extended cut is released then its on all the Bluray versions. I hated having to get the 3D wolverine to get the extended cut.
DVD is out of the pack on all 3 (both blu-ray/3D, i am guessing fox has chosen to have DVD only sold by itself) , looks like fox is taking a page out of disney's book.
Bryan Singer doesn't typically do an extended cut as it was stated on this titles forum thread. James Mangold as matt86 is saying did do that, but it forces the consumers to purchase the Blu-Ray 3D to have the added materials regardless of being properly hooked up or not.
putting in a dual vudu/itunes/flixter platform voucher doesn't make a combo pack at all, so next its bye bye fox.
now dreamworks is having its materials distributed by fox, does that mean fox can take DVD's out of both blue sky's library and dreamworks, or are there special protections in place preventing fox from doing it to both?
The steel book 2D/3D blu is available from Amazon France if anyones interested. I got The Wolverine steel book from them and it was stunning. Regular steel book with a lenticular front. Hopefully they do this again with Days Of Future Past.
The movie is good. But hate those BR 3D / 2D / DVD + Digital Copy-combo's. I don't need Digital Copy (I never watch movies on Computers/Laptops/Smartphones). I also don't need DVD anymore because having BR (ok not yet 3D).
Hm... I hope Bryan Singer will add again more Bonus Features as he did for X-Men 1 + 2 which had been really interesting. For the other movies they didn't add much things.
Haven't seen it, was wondering if this is worth going and seeing. I figured I could get an honest answer here, was this a 50/50 movie, like was there more screen time with new actors or old ones or was it split down the middle on running time. I'm really a fan of the old ones, I passed on the last one that came out, I just have a hard time with reboots or movies going back in time to see younger versions of themselves played by different actors. The new Spiderman cries to much, bale batman voice sucks, but i get it! the kids love it! just not me. So does anyone think this is good for a person who loved the first three.
