First Look at The November Man Starring Pierce Brosnan

Posted June 6, 2014 04:50 PM by Webmaster

Relativity MediaRelativity Media has released the first official trailer for director Roger Donaldson's (Thirteen Days, The Getaway) latest project The November Man (2014), starring Pierce Brosnan, Olga Kurylenko, Eliza Taylor, Will Patton, Luke Bracey, and Patrick Kennedy. The film is set to open in theaters across the United States on August 27th.

Synopsis: Code named 'The November Man,' Peter Devereaux (Pierce Brosnan) is a lethal and highly trained ex-CIA agent, who has been enjoying a quiet life in Switzerland. When Devereaux is lured out of retirement for one last mission, he must protect valuable witness, Alice Fournier, (Olga Kurylenko). He soon uncovers this assignment marks him a target of his former friend and CIA protégé David Mason (Luke Bracey). With growing suspicions of a mole in the agency, there is no one Devereaux can trust, no rules and no holds barred.

It's hard to really tell from this trailer, but it seems this is more like the type of Bond that Brosnan wanted to play.

This is obviously a turd, too bad Brosnan can't get more serious roles. He's a good actor, with potential for heavier stuff.

Note to Pierce: You're not Agent OO7 anymore.

Pierce should be playing McCall in 'The Equalizer' movie.

After seeing the trailer, I wonder what kind of spy movie is The November Man. Is it a super spy type(in other words super hero type spy) or close to the real world type spy movie. Could it be a mix of the two types, just like Bourne movies. I wonder what type are The November Man novels. Since I never read them.

I feel like Pierce Brosnan hasn't acted in a few years.

Hmmm I dunno. If (and its a big if) they let Brosnan be a badass and its not a PG/12 certificate this could be worth watching. Brosnan can be great when hes let off the leash. A 007-lite would be a very bad idea though.
