The Mist Coming to Blu-ray

Weinstein Company has announced that they are planning to bring the horror film 'The Mist' to Blu-ray on August 5th. Coming as a two-disc release, one disc will hold the theatrical release and the other will feature a "black-and-white" version of the film, both in 1080p VC-1 accompanied by a 5.1 TrueHD soundtrack. Extras have yet to be announced for this release, but they are expected to be similar to the previously released 2-disc DVD.

FINALLY! Weinstein is back in the HD media game!
I would LOVE to see a special limited edition of The Thief and the Cobbler, if they can get the ability to
add a lot of the cut scenes.
I can't wait to see what else they do after this one. |

Awesome news!! I've been waiting for Weinstein to jump back on board again in the hi-def era. Now bring on Rob Zombie's Halloween movie to Blu-ray!! I held off buying the DVD version! |

I didn't like the ending but still a pretty good movie. I hope 1408 comes out soon too. |

Glad to see Weinstein is finally on the right side of the tracks. Great start with Mist but don't forget about 1408 and Halloween. |

Good to see Weinstein back in the hi-def game. Didn't catch The Mist at the theater so I'm looking forward to checking it out on blu-ray. |

YES!!!!
I have held on the DVD edition just for this 
Stunning movie, with an extrememly powerful ending, that apparently shocked and disapointed some people, but it was an excellent movie nonethelss
The Mist was imo one of the best small movies of 2007 |

About time Weinstein! I might just pick up The Mist (I've only seen parts of it :-)
Clerks II, Grindhouse, Halloween, Hannibal Rising "next please"
BTW: VC-1 is perfectly fine as long as it's they do a high bitrate encode and if the source is HQ! 50GB please. |
