Pinnacle Films have released the first official trailer for the Spierig Brothers' (Daybreakers) sci-fi thriller Predestination (2014), starring Ethan Hawke, Noah Taylor, Sarah Snook, Christopher Kirby, and Cate Wolfe.
The film premiered at the South by Southwest Film Festival in March and will open in theaters across Australia on August 28th. In the United States, Sony Pictures is in charge with the film's distribution, but an official release date is yet to be revealed.
Synopsis: Predestination chronicles the life of a Temporal Agent sent on an intricate series of time-travel journeys designed to ensure the continuation of his law enforcement career for all eternity. Now, on his final assignment, the Agent must pursue the one criminal that has eluded him throughout time.
Ethan Hawke makes two kinds of movies now, good ones with Richard Linklater (Boyhood, Before Midnight) and terrible, unwatchable thrillers (Getaway, The Purge, Sinister) he should just hold out for another Linklater film.
