Anchor Bay Home Entertainment has revealed via press material that they are planning to release 'Hellraiser' and 'Children of the Corn' on Blu-ray either later this year (around Halloween, of course) or early next year. At this point, these are just title announcements, so specs or special features have yet to be announced.

I never was a huge fan of these, but I know there are lots of fans and followers for these flicks. Plus, you can never have enough horror on Blu |

ooh... curious to check out pinhead and crew in high def... although I think that I will check it out through netflix first being a number of the effects were pretty cheesy and just may look even more so on blu... Hopefully they clean up some of the effects...
(not to interested with the corn though...) |

Both are must buys. Anchor Bay puts 110% behind all of their releases, so these will be no different. |

Although I am not a huge horror fan, Anchor Bay has done amazing work with their DVD releases. I'm sure they will continue the trend with their Blu-ray releases. |

I put off upgrading Hellraiser with the recently released 20th Anniversary for just this chance. So I REALLY hope they port over all the great extras from that release. If so, a day one buy for me for sure. |

Both will be mine!
Please, for the love of god, don't apply digital noise reduction like you have on past efforts such as Day of the Dead and Evil Dead II! |
