CESI Opens First Blu-ray Testing Center in China

A member of the Blu-ray Disc Association (BDA), CESI Technology Co. has had their facility designated as the first official Blu-ray Test Center in China. This new center will allow Chinese manufacturers to quickly and easily receive verification services for the official production of Blu-ray Disc Players. This resources is seen necessary to build the importance of Blu-ray in China. Sumitaka Matsumura, Chair of BDA's China Task Force, commented, "The Blu-ray Disc Association continues to work hard to bring high definition to Chinese consumers and this development with CESI Technology Co. Ltd. is another significant indication of the strong support for the Blu-ray Disc Format in China. The establishment of an official test center in China is critical to the acceptance of Blu-ray Disc in China by the industry and consumers and so we very much look forward to the contribution of CESI Technology."

Sony and the BDA do not want that to happen, so they will be placing restrictions, I'm sure, on the technology used for manufacturing Blu-ray discs in China. They mentioned something about Blu-ray and China earlier this year....I think this site mentioned their comments actually, but I can't remember atm

Just great, cheap Chinese bootlegs will be sold all over eBay (for pennys on the dollar) before years end.. I can't wait :-/

First of all, those blu-ray disk has to down price, cause right now is still very much cost more than buying a blu-ray movie. Those has to do first, or they won't be any bootleg.
