The Matrix Announced for Blu-ray

Warner Home Video has announced that they will bring the highly anticipated 'The Ultimate Matrix Collection' to Blu-ray on October 14th. The seven-disc set will include five BD-50s - one disc for each of the three Matrix films, one for Animatrix, and one for "The Matrix Experience" - and two DVDs. Also included in the set will be a hard-cover book with photos and information from the films.
Video will be presented in 1080p VC-1 and accompanied by a Dolby TrueHD soundtrack. Extras for this release include:
- 3 Exclusive In-Move Experience BonusView features
- 35 hours of extras
- Digital download of 'The Matrix'
- Much more

anyone know if this is the same encode from the hd-dvd version (like they pulled with batman begins) or are they gonna optimize it for blu-ray, with that whole recommtiment to quality thing they anounced earlier? |

If they make the 1080p version of 'The Animatrix' only available in this box I am going to be so pissed.
(P.S. I wouldn't worry too much about whether they use the HD DVD encode. It looks seriously amazing on all three movies.) |
