Posted August 4, 2008 03:12 PM by Josh Dreuth

Warner Bros. Warner Home Video has announced that they will bring 'Interview with a Vampire' to Blu-ray on October 7th. A week later, on October 14th, they will bring 'Poltergeist' to Blu-ray as a digibook with never-before-seen photos and inside information. Both titles will be presented in 1080p VC-1 video . It is still unconfirmed in these releases will use Dolby TrueHD or Dolby Digital for the soundtracks.

No extras have been announced for 'Interview with a Vampire', but extras for 'Poltergeist' will include documentary "They Are Here: The Real World of Poltergeist Revealed".

No additional information was releases about either title at this time.

I will wait until they one day decide to put together a decent package of special features for Poltergeist. There are numerous stories about the production, the curse, etc. that deserve to be on there. We deserve at least an audio commentary, if not the E! True Hollywood Story special on the Poltergeist curse.

I am not a big fan of the digibook but I'll make an exception here. Can't wait to add both of
these to my list. They better have HD sound though

Fixed the date. It should have been October

And those aren't all the extras, just the ones they mentioned. They'll probably be a press release later.

If POLTERGEIST has any more extras I will die since the standard 25th Ann. Edition was a complete bust yeah it was better transfer ... but we wanted real extras. I'll be happy if it contains LOSSLESS Dolby TRUE

Man October is beginning to be even more expensive than September with all this horror. These two releases with the omen, carrie, amityville horror, and texas chainsaw that actually is released on 9/30. This is great keep it coming.
