Koch Reveals More Blu-ray Titles

In an early announcement to retailers, Koch Entertainment has revealed that they will bring the original 1974 version of 'Black Christmas' to Blu-ray on November 11th. Additionally, they are bringing 'Soundstage: Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' and the controversial film 'The Story of O' to Blu-ray on the same day.
As these are not official announcements, no technical specs or special features have been announced at this time.

I've seen the original Black Christmas in quasi HD on cable (thanks to MOJO), and it looked pretty much like what you'd expect a micro-budget slasher from the early 1970's to look like: grainy, blotchy, and soft. Of course, for a retail release, I'd expect they'd try to clean it up more, but, coming from Koch, I wouldn't be surprised if they just blew it up and threw it out there (ala' the cheapo's from BCI, etc). |

Tom Petty will be a good show. Soundstage used top notch audio. |

Hopefully the Petty transfer will fair better than the DVD. I recorded the concert on my HD DVR and it was great. Went out and bought the DVD and the audio was ok but the video sucked. I'll rely on the reviews posted on this site before purchase as they don't rent the music titles very often. |
