I think it will be interesting to see who this will work and look for home theatre in 3-D. I have seen this film 3 times in IMAX in 3-D and since the new Potter won't be out this Christmas time more IMAX theatres may be showing the 3-D version again (WB usually has a issue with the contract for shoing it, last year IMAX stated they must be able to show movie I believe three times per day or else you can't present the film at all)
I have only seen this film in 3-D and can't imagine seeing it any other way. I may be curious to buy this to see how it does look. |

I saw this at an Imax in 3d and it was incredible, I'm not sure how the disc version will look but it will be worth a viewing anyway. It will be interesting to see what peoples reactions to it are once it's out. |

I'm wondering if this will now get lossless audio or the same treatment the first version had.....
Let's hope Warner makes the effort to make it lossless. |

I've seen this movie several times in IMAX 3-D and was hooked. I hope they glasses we get are not the red and green, but the poloraized lenses you use at the IMAX theater. Anyone know anything about the tech specs for this? PS, this is one of the few tiems I will double dip. Have 300 on BR and will not buy the new one. However, I own PE on BR and will buy the new one if the 3-D is up to par with the IMAX 3-d effects. |

We need more details on the 3-D technique they are using. |

Hopefully the 2D version gets re-encoded. I enjoy the movie, but will never buy it until it's done right for Blu. |

That is what I want to know too. What technique are they using for 3D? those crappy red and blue
glasses? Or something else? |

I love this movie. It's like a nice mug of cocoa. Never seen it in IMAX, hopefully they will release it that way again. |

I really hope it has lossless sound this time. The soundtrack is great and deserves better treatment. |

I think it's a near certainty that the 3D effect will be achieved using the red-and-blue glasses, a la the recent Hannah Montana concert. It's far easier to re-color the film than achieve the 3D effect like the IMAX and Real 3D processes do. IMAX 3D uses two projectors (one for left-eye images, one for right-eye ones) and expensive polarized lenses to make sure the correct eye receives the correct images. Real 3D uses a single projector with incredibly fast refresh rates and an alternating L-R-L-R-L-R image pattern, and similar polarized lenses to help our minds tell the difference. The user equipment requirement is way too cost-prohibitive for most people to replicate the theatrical experience at home. That's intentional, of course, so that Hollywood can preserve the "WOW" of the theatrical experience. It's why everybody's redoing their movies in 3D.
I'll re-buy it if we get a lossless soundtrack. |

Wow... I might get this... provided they also include a lossless audio track as this film REALLY diserves one! |

I dont think they would put it out in 3D if it was just the red and blue.. I would think it would use the newer Real 3D since several of the new HDTV's that are out and coming out are supporting that. It will be awesome if it does.. I wont get it if it uses the old blue red junk. |
