Typical Warner screw up. Now that they are in control of releasing NL stuff, EVEYTHING will be on a BD-25. Lemme guess, DD 5.1 only, right. Step up, guys and gals!

If done right this could be a nice addition to the Blu library. Interesting movie, MUST have lossless audio though. Hell any Blu released without lossless at this point should be burned at the stake.

A BD-25 and VC-1 encode is not a promising start. C'mon Warner.

Why still VC-1? This movie must have been started awhile ago.

I might pick this up as I've heard good things about it.

BTW: People there is NOTHING wrong with VC-1. People get this impression because Warner has applied DNR and kept the bitrate low on many titles. Take a look at 3:10 to Yuma, Condemned or Shoot 'Em Up to see just how great VC-1 can look! High bitrates, no DNR and sharp as a tack! VC-1 looks amazing when it has room to breath. Now the question is, will NewLine (aka Warner) do the right thing? At least give us lossless on this one and keep the gritty look intact (No DNR please)

Thank you WB's for winning the "war" for BD , but NO THANKS FOR THE WAY YOU SHIT(VC-1 & Lossy
Audio) OUT ON YOUR TITLES.... & Yeah sure I have seen movies done in VC-1 that look GREAT, but it
seems like every time "you" use a BD-25 the PQ suffers...GET WITH THE F-ING PROGRAM!!! DAMN!!

Warner is killing me. Well they are not killing me; rather, they are saving me lots of money.

No thanks. I'll buy a Warner disc if it has lossless sound, and if it's a good film. This is neither.

This was one of my favorite movies and what does man on fire have anything to do with this movie, they were nothing alike so whats with the comparison?

Seriously.... It's a 127 min movie, so once AGAIN it will be a low bitrate vc-1 transfer with lossy sound.
Now everyone hates Warner because of their crappy releases, and I don't really understand why this is good for them.

Oh well another cancelled order from me...

I could care less about the sound! i mean yeah blu-ray is supposed to give HD sound and HD picture but i could care less about the sound, as long as the picture is as astonishing as it's supposed to be!

I'll probably stick with my standard DVD copy unless the audio is lossless and the BD reviews are strong. Interesting movie, it certainly has its moments, very violent at times, too. But it's maybe a bit over-the-top, over-stylized and too "MTV" for some. Might not be a safe blind buy on BD, I mean. It's a gritty film visually and in content (VERY loosly based on a real story), if it gets DNR'd to remove that grit it'll be a mess.

Jesus people. Have you forgot that Warner was one of the companies that was a KEY FIGURE in helping ending the format war last January?

Now. Having said that, I can't wait for this. I've never bought the DVD so this is a must for me.
