Fox Reveals Two Holiday Titles for December

In an early announcement to retailers, Fox Home Entertainment has revealed that they will bring the holiday films 'Home Alone' and 'Jingle All the Way' to Blu-ray on December 2nd. As this not an official announcement by the studio, technical specs and special features have not been announced at this time. We expect to learn more about these two titles shortly.

I just got the the non- anamorphic DVD of Home Alone a few months back for like $4 at work. I'll probably double dip on that one, plus I've always been a fan of Jingle All the Way, hate how the past few years I've missed it on TV. Know that nothing is expect to be known yet, but will Jingle All the Way be the extended cut that I've seen is avalible or will it just be the theatrical. Plus, knowing Fox they'll throw in a digital copy for both. But, where's Home Alone 2, I like that one even more than the first, and that one (which I also have in non- anamorphic, Dolby 2.0 DVD form) hasn't even seen a SE DVD like the first one has. Hopefully that's coming in the near future.

ROCK ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Home Alone is so back in the day! that was my favorite movie when I was a child! I watched that movie over 200 times the year i was 6! now to have that movie on Blu-ray disc is totally awesome! i will definitely purchase this movie as soon as possible! i am so happy right now but i also Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (the other one with Macauly Culkin) and Home Alone 3 and Home Alone 4 on Blu-ray! and the other movie: Jingle all the way is a great and fun to watch holiday movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and i will definitely purchase both of these movies in December, ESPECIALLY HOME ALONE!

They are already up for pre-order on Amazon for $25.95. I'll only be buying Home Alone though...it's one of my favorite Christmas films, and I totally grew up on it. I had hoped that they would release Home Alone 2 on Blu-Ray or at least as a special edition DVD. The only DVD currently available is 1.85:1 non-anamorphic Widescreen with 2.0 Stereo Sound. The DVD transfer on Home Alone: Special Edition was very good, so I'm expecting it will come from that remaster job. Should look and sound great, especially with the excellent John Williams score in DTS-MA 5.1!!!!
