Paramount Home Entertainment has revealed the technical specs and special features for the 11 upcoming catalog titles due for Blu-ray release from December through January. All titles will receive 1080p video encodes accompanied by a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 soundtrack. 'Hot Rod' will receive an additional 5.1 PCM soundtrack.
Special features for each title can be seen below:
Pretty slim pickings on Days of Thunder and Election but all the rest look loaded. Should be easy to upgrade from previous DVDs for the most part. Definitely getting Zodiac.
Didn't Paramount put out "Team America"? Hmmmmmmmmmm
Event Horizon and Zodiac, but that is about it. I will be very cool to see Event Horizon in HD. Watch that movie then play the new game "Dead Space". Should be pretty sweet!
Sorry about the double post and having to take Event Horizon and Ghost down, but the emails just flew in and its a little silly to make 11 separate posts
I'll get Event Horizon, The Truman Show and Ghost. Into the Wild is a good movie, but the main character is such a jerk it makes me not want to watch it again, even though the wilderness would be beautiful in HD. Zodiac isn't bad, but not quite good enough to make me want to watch it again.
Some really pathetic titles and not buying/renting any of them. I thought I saw Team America: World Police in the previews of earlier blu-ray movies. When is it supposed to come out?
Days of Thunder and The Truman Show for me no doubt.
Event Horizon could have been much better if they weren't ridiculous about how many loud noises there were where nothing friggin' happens just to make you jump out of your seat.
That is NOT scary and it ruins the overall movie.
Wow, I just watch Event Horizon on some HD channel a couple of weekends back & kept thinking about how the low resolution kept f-ing with the darkness in the film... can't wait! Plus a making of w/ commentary on top of it - whoa.
So these will be the first Easter Egg Blu-rays!? Pretty cool!
I'll be buying Tommy Boy for sure! It would be nice if they had the $10 rebates for people who already own the tites on DVD.. If not, I can wait for a sale.
Sorry but I don't think I'll get any of these. I already purchased Event Horizon ten years ago, then again when they released it as a special edition. That's enough cash for that one. Election is a great movie, but it looks pretty good in standard so again, no more cash for that one.
I think the only Paramount releases I would actually want on Blu-Ray would be Saturday Night Fever, Grease, the Star Trek movies and Team America!.
