James Bond represents a lifestyle that many people want to live and few can afford. As the world's top secret agent, 007 gets to travel the world to exotic locations, making use of his fast cars and cool gadgets to save the world over and over again (with just enough time left to woo every pretty girl in the area). So far, the series has produced a staggering 22 films, and six of them are available for the first time on Blu-ray today.
We're also holding a contest to give away three complete sets, in case you hadn't heard.
After the semi-failure of the original 'Hulk' to capture the attention of moviegoers, Universal decided to give the franchise another go. While 'The Incredible Hulk' failed to reach the same level of success as other superhero films like 'Spider-Man' and 'Iron Man', it is a definite improvement over the original. Technically, the release is beautiful, and it really shows off the impressive CG work accomplished by the team. The sound is also solid, with another great DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack from Universal.
Another great title coming out today is Paramount's release of 'Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street'. The film has been released in other countries for quite some time, so its great to see it finally hitting US shores. My UK import of this title (via Warner) is outstanding, and I expect this release to at least meet that level, if not exceed it.

I picked up Incredible Hulk, Sweeney Todd, and Diary Of The Dead. I think these last 3 titles officially wind down my October Blu-ray spending extravaganza.
We had Sin City and From Dusk Till Dawn both come out today for about $20 here in Canada. Not too sure whats the deal with them but I'm checking into it after work hopefully.
I went on a blu buying spree and picked up The Strangers, The Incredible Hulk, Halloween (2007 Zombie Remake), & Diary Of The Dead. Im done for awhile my funds can't take anymore abuse.

I Rented
*The Strangers
I was tempted to but the 007 but aded the to amy x-mas list, I figure if someone else buys them then I can buy other blu-ray's so It's a win win!!!!!!!
To let everyone know the James Bond Blu-rays at "Best Buy" come in the "steelbook packaging". If you like that kind of case then this is the only place to get them. I got the 1st 3 classics, Dr. No, From Russia With Love and Thunderball. I'm also glad to see Fox also included the original mono soundtracks. Well done Fox.
Rob Zombie's HALLOWEEN is almost as good as the original, and to be honest, I find it much more entertaining. I love origin stories. I.E. IronMan, Spiderman 1, Batman Begins, etc...
James Bond Steelbooks at BestBuy make the BD set look a lot better than the 'blah' box that the 3packs come in. I got the whole bloody set in 6 mini-steelcases. The Incredible Hulk has a great 3-D sleeve. 'Gettem fer they go.' Nice to see some variations of the BD box.
I vote for more BD Steelbooks. They are small like BD boxes.
Nothing for me today. although some good titles hit blu-ray. such as The incredible hulk, the 6 James Bond films, Rob Zombie's Halloween, and Sweeney Todd: the demon barber of fleet street. Blu-ray disc for life!
