Im as excited as a priest at a boy scout convention over the release of The Shawshank Redemption on Blu. Only thing I see that disappoints me is the DigiBook packaging
Can anyone tell me about the digibook effect? Are the discs stored in a plastic tray or do they go in a cardboard stock sleeve? I am worried about the discs getting scratched when taking them in and out.
As much as I hate digibooks, the cost $47.99 from PlayAsia is a bit much. I will stick with the digibook and consider buying a sleeve and printing cover art.
I'll pre-order this one next Friday along with Jingle all the way and Home Alone so that i am one of the 1st customers to get it! and like the 1st comment says: Fantastic news about the audio! Blu-ray disc for life!
Awesome. At first when I saw the headline, I thought it said "Shawshank Redemption gets Delayed" and I almost cried. It's already happened too many times before.
Josh... I wondered what studio put it out in the UK, because I was in the shop and I noticed it only had dolby digital.. I thought what other studio has the cheek to ruin the audio.. I cant believe ITV has put this classic out instead of Warner?
Too many great movies coming on Blu-ray and I can't afford to get them all. I don't mind digibook, actually, I do like them. I like seeing photos, comments from actors/directors, etc. Seems to be a good deal than plain case with nothing but a disc.
Shut up about the digibooks already! Jesus Christ. You frickin people seem to care more about packaging than content. I will be getting this and enjoying the digibook. They look great on my shelf. Get a real collection and some treatment for your ridiculous OCD.
