While there are always a few last minute shoppers out there, the majority of holiday shopping has already taken place. Movie studios know this, and new release list is very slim today in comparison to a normal week, let alone the monster weeks we've had the past few months. You can rest assured, however, that next week studios will get back into swing as they try to part you from your newly acquired gift certificates during, what they call, the fifth quarter.
But still, we must press on. This past Friday, Sony released 'The House Bunny', which Universal followed on Sunday by releasing 'Burn After Reading' and 'Death Race'. Looking at today's list, music fans should look for Blu-ray titles 'Aventura - Sold Out at Madison Square Garden' and 'Robert Carlos - En Vivo', if you have any idea who those people are (I don't). In fact, the only real releases that might catch your attention are Paramount two-packs of previously released Blu-ray titles at a new lower price. If you've missed some of these titles, now is a good time to pick them up.
Aventura! Kings of Bachata baby! Roberto Carlos! Classic Salsa. These are for the latin community that have blu ray. I rented Aventura and it was pretty good with pcm 5.1. Not really to many keepers this week though. Well, I still got Dark Knight!...LOL
Burn and Death Race came out Sunday. Now I can relax and catch up with Death Proof and Planet
Terror. Sounds more like Halloween than Xmas. The new Criterions also; plus BDs I'v been saving like
Nitemare before Xmas and Christmas Story. Blu-Xmas, all!
I ended up getting death race. i love it. next month is the killer month for my bank account. got saw 5 coming out (the rumored braveheart) king kong maybe and then i have not fully decided on max payne yet.
